Our correspondent wires last night : — An examination of the two men confined at the quarantine island makes it doubtful whether one case is small-pox. In the New Zealand Insurance Company a dividend of 15 per cent, has been declared. A balance of £9102 was carried forward. Arrangements have been concluded for a visit of the English cricketers to Auckland. They give the Auckland players ten per cent, of the gross proceeds, and pay all reasonable expenses. The Presbytery to-day adopted an overture to the General Assembly to define the attitude of the church on the question of marriage with a deceased wife's sister.
