Our correspondent wires last night : — la the Supreme Court in Bankruptcy the trustees' report in the case of Howard, formerly Inspector of sheep, was very adversely criticised. The judge refused a certificate of discharge. At the declaration of the poll for City North, Peacock's majority was stated to be twenty. His speech was conciliatory. The proceedings were uneventful In the charge against Phunmer, very strong evidence was tendered identifying him as writer of the threatening letter to Mrs Dobson. The case of burglary from the house of Thomas Hazel, Symondstreet, was then brought on. In opening the case, Mi* Pardy said some of the property stolen from the house had been identified in prisoner's possession. The cases are now proceeding.
