Waikato Times Office, Friday. AUCKLNND CATTLE MARKET.

Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report.-— At the Haynnvket, on Tuesday last, lndes ami skins were is less than usual number, but in brisk inquiry, and the improved prices of the previous week sustained. There was, m addition to the usual sale, above 100 lots of wool, in bags and small bales ; those, also, fully maintained previous values. The late rains have occasioned an improved demand for store cattle, and both at Waiuku and Pukekohe all cattle brought forward (and the yards were well filled) found ready buyers at a perceptible advance over late markets. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in limited number and at late values. Store cattle numerous, and at better values than for several weeks. Fat cattle in moderate number only, and less value, varying from 20s to 233 the lOOlbs. Fat sheep in full nnmbers, and lower in price ; shorn wethers were at 2£d. Lambs abundant, good quality brought from 10a to 13s, but middling lambs 5s to 6-> each only. Pigs were numerous, and of all kinds, ut prices were low throughout. Messrs Euntee and Nolans Weeklt Report. — -Worses: There has been great activity in the market. On Friday the Durham Yards were completely crammed with horses, the draft of fifty from Taranaki eliciting keen competition, and all were sold at very satisfactory prices. There w.is no noteworthy alteration in late values. Cattle : The supply has been large of all descriptions. On Tuesday, at Newmarket, dairy cows were in full supply. Store cattle in - average numbers and good demand. Beef very plentiful, with no improvement iv late quotations. At Papakura, on Wednesday, over 600 head of cattle were yarded; Bidding was brisk, and we noticed a light improvement in prices in r comparison with late sales ; th.c majority of those in being disposed of at satisfactory

prices. Sheep : On Tuesday, at Newmarket, an unusually large number were y.irded, competition was keen, and all in sold at a slight advance on late values. Lambs were in large supply and fair demand. Pigs : 200 yarded, and, cousequently, sold low.
