Our correspondent reports hit nigfill s — Mr Sheehan addressed an enthusiastic meeting of electors at the Academy of Music. He explained at considerable length his connection with the Thames Goldfields since its opening, and his action re the Patetere block ; and also his views on the education question. At the close of the address, a cordial vote of thanks was passed, The friends of both candidates are working hard. The general opinion is that the contest will be very close. The utmost good feeling prevails between the parties.
