In pursuance of "The Regulation of Elections Act 1881,"' I, Thomas Kirk, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waipa, do heiebygive notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the 9th day of No\ ember, 18SI, under the hand of the Clerk ot the Wiits, an ELECTION will be held for the return of ONE QUALIFIED PERSON to serve as Member for tho said Electoral District ; and that the NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES will take place at the Courthouse, Hamilton, at Noon on THURSDAY, the Ist day of December, 1881 ; and that the POLL, if necessary, will be taken at the several Polling-places of the said District on FRIDAY, the 9th day December, 1881, commencing at 9 a.m. and closing at 6 p.m.
