The appointment of Mr Sardall. one of the assistant-secretaries of the English Local Government Board, to the Xsieut.Governorship of this colony, in succession to Sir E. Wood, is viewed with much disfavour throughout Natal, and the Legislative Council, at its sitting to-day, voted six, instead of the usual twelve months supply, as a protest against Mr Sardall's appointment.
