Got by Ravensworth, dam Plover, by Sir Hercules, Ravensworth by Touchstone, Fair Jean by Verulam, Fair Queen by Pantaloon. Hercules is a bay horse, 8 years old, and stands 15|- hands high, combines the best of blood with good bone and immense power, and has proved himself a jrood horse on tho turf. At the Canterbury meeting in 1876, won the Grandstand Handicap, 1 mile, in 1 mm. 60 ?ec, carrying Bst. 21bs., beating G others. In the same year won the Hawke's B.iy Stakes 2 mile*, in 3min. 54^seo., beating Fishhook and the Maori Weed, carrying 8«t. 21bs. Hercules will travel on aud after let October, calling at the undermentioned places :—: — Mondays— Leave Goldburn, passing through Tamahere, Cambridge, and Pukerimu, to Ohaupo. Tuesdays— Te Awamutu, and Kihikihi. Wednesdays— -Rotorangi, and Cambridge. Thursdays — at home, where he remains for tho rest of the week. Terms— £3 10s each mare, Two or more as per arrangement. Will Travel this season as under — Monday— Te Awamutu, Kihikihi, Orakau, Rangiaohia, Te Rahu and Crot-s roada; Tuesday, At home; Wednesday, Ohaupo ; Thursday, at home ; Friday, at Paterangi and Ngahinepouri, calling at Mr Vickers, staying at Mr W. W. Higgiiison's at night ; Saturday, Alexandra, Ta Awamutu, and Cross Roads. Paddocking, Is 6d per week during season. Terms— Ariel, (Single Mare, £5 5s Od, two or more, as per agreement. rpo STAND THIS SEASON. The well-known Clydesdale Stallion, "YOUNG WELLINGTON." Will Travel the following places in the Waikato :—: — Monday— Pukerimu, travelling same evening as far as Mr Grice's Farm via Rotorangi. Tuesday— Rangiaohia, calling at Mr A. Ramsay's, Kihikihi (Mr Corboy's) that evening. Wednesday— Te Awamutu, calling at Mr Rutherford's farm. Thursday. — Ohaupo (forenoon only), j Hamilton that evening. Friday.— Hamilton, stopping at Railway Hotel ; good grazing for mares at Mr Jolly's, at 2a per week. At Tamahere that afternoon, good grazing at 2s p9r week at Mr Jared All will's. Saturday. — Tamabere, and Cambridge at Carter's Stables. He was bred by Mr Patterson, Wanganui. His sire, Wellington, is acknowledged to be one of the finest horses imported to New Zealand. Hid dam was an imported mare from Hobarfc Town, and, when exhibited, received every firstclaes prize as a Brood Mare. " Young Wellington " stands 17 hands in height ; his colour is a beautiful dark dappled brown ; he has *> wonderful docile temper; has good action, and for symmetry hehasnothis equal in the country. " Young Wellington " has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and thoroughly staunch in harness. "Young Wellington's" stock, for size, symmetry, and^ action, cannot be surpassed.
