Cooper, however, of G-isborue who accompanied Mr Hill, and who is a good Maori speaker came to the rescue of the medico, and succeeded in convincing Tawhiao of the necessity and haunle&s nature of the remedy. Messrs Hill and Cooper accordingly proceeded to Tawhiao's camp near the township, and applied six leeches to the great relief of the patient, who, this morning, is loud in his praisea of the knowledge of his pakeha doctor.
