THE CRICKET MATCH AT OHAUPO.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir.— l see by your issue of Saturday, that a match at cricket was played at Ohaupo between the Hamilton West C.C. and the Ohaupo C.C. I beg leave to inform you that no such club as the Hamilton West C.C. exists. The fact is that Mr Somerville had got together a scratch team of youngsters, and travelled from home under a wrong name. The Hamilton C.C. had nothing whatever to do with the match, and Mr Sonierville's 8 men were anything but a representative team, eveu of Hamilton West. I make this explanation as some people imagined that a Hamilton team had been to Ohaupo. — I am, &c, <, A Member, H.C.C.
