Our Wellington correspondent wires last night : — Intelligence has just come to haud that the Union's Company's s.s. Fengnin, Captain Malcolm, has got ashore at the French Pass. The p.a. Wallace is standing by. Her position id not con* sidered dangerous. *

Hawea arrived here from the French Pass at 2 o'clock ihu (Friday) morning, and reports havingfoundthePen* gum jammed in one of the swash-waya on the breaks in the rock. She lie 3 about two of her own lengths from the beacon at the Pa3s point. At her tows there are 17 feet of water and aft .18 feet at low water. She is straight through the reef, and is fixed by rocks in both sides about abreast of the mainmast. The tide runs, at; both ebb and flow, straight with her. , Part" of , her propeller, about three feet, ia dry at low water. She has lain for one tide and has not strained. At 5.40, when the Hawea left;, she had', made no water. The Wallace is still alongside, but on account of the strength of the tide verylittle time is leftfor work.
