Auckland, Last Night. The Crown Prosecutor to-day withdrew the charges against the Kellys, of Wade. Mr Merrick's store, Al be it-street, was broken into last night without disturbing the resident above. The contents of the till (twenty-five shillings) were stolen. Thomas Hunter, a fisherman, died suddenly in his bed in Chancery-street. Twenty Auckland volunteers accompanied the Thames contingent to the front to-day.
Wrt j lixgton t , Last Night. Tho Greytown and Working Men's Clubs at Groylown were destroyed by fire on Saturday night. The fire originated in the G ley town Club, and was carried to the other club. The following are the insuiances :— CJreytown Club, £710, in New Zealand Company ; Working Men's Club, £500, in South British.
Inveroargill, Last JNi^ht. Tlie bodies of a woman and child were found in a ditch near One-Tree Point, a few miles fiom Invercargill, in an advanced stage of decomposition. They have been identified a& a young married woman named Borrison and her child. The woman was subject to fits, and had apparently been seized where found. She had been missed since June last.
