RANGIAOHIA HIGHWAY BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the Rangiaohia Road Board was held at Lewis's hotel, Te Awamutu, on Saturday last, at which Messrs Walton (chairman), Whitfield, Johns, and Bond were present. The minutes of last meeting having been read and confirmed, A rate of ninepence in the £ was made for the current year, due notice of the same having been given. — A further opinion of counsel was read, from which it was clear that the board could exercise all the powers which a new legally elected board could have done, and therefore it was resolved to take all necessary steps to enable the board to recover the rate when due. — It was also resolved that the readjustment of district boundaries should be proceeded with.— A letter' was also read enclosing cheque foe £42 3s 9d from the Waipa County Council. „ - The month's accounts having been phased for pay^nt the Riwting Qloaed.
