THE CAMBRIDGE RAILWAY.

Mr J. B. Whytk, M H.R., has received a letter from the hon. John Hall, the acting Minister for Public Works, to the effect that an engineer was to leave Wellington on the 21st for Waikato, for the purpose of making a contract survey of the Cambridge railway. The lettev fuither stated that as soon as six miles of the line was ready, which it is expected will be in about a month, tenders will be invited for the construction. It is probable that the engineer here referred to is Mr Hunter, who anived at Hamilton on Tuesday.
