LORD DERBY" X Will travel in Waikato this season — Ngaruawahia Mondays Whatawhata Tuesdays Hamilton Thursdays Andersons Farm remainder of week. "Young Lord Derby" took First Prize as a yearling at the Auckland Show, 1878, and First Piize as a two-year-old in 1879. He wng bred by A. and J. Auderson, of Kaniw h tuiwha ; got by " Loid Derby," who, when a colt befoie leaving Victoria, took a number of First Piizes. He was bred by Mr A. Watson, Hitfh Bank Hill, Kyneton; got by "Champion of Scotland," the winner of First Prizes at the Highland Society's Show?, held at Edinburgh in. 1869. Ho was also tho winner several times of tlie Champion Gold Medal at the piincipal Annual Shows in Victoiia. As a Sire he was umi vailed, as five oi his sock obtained at two National .Shows prizes of the unpiccedcntcd Mim of £195 6s Sd, four £30 Cup*, and four Medal". " Loid Deiby'u " dam, " Piincess Mauri the 6th," gained seven First Prizes. Her sire, "Piinco Cluilie," was many years the Champion Horse of Victoiia; g. dam, "Princess Maud the 2nd," gained many prizes at Port Phillip and National Society'b Shows; her tite, "Sir Colin Campbell," fjamed First Piize at the Highlaud Society's Show, 1857 ; gg. dam, " Princess Maud the l^t," gained First Prize at the Highland Society 8 Show, 1856, and has gained Fn't>t Piizes in Victoria too numerous to mention. "Young Lord Deiby's" dim, "Fanny," got by "Northern Ilero/' out of " Queen," an impoited mare fiom Sydney. "Young Loid Derby " is a rich dark bay, stands 17-1 hands, and has proved a sure foal getter, and :i grand temper. Terms — Single mare, £3 ; two or more, as per agreement. Giazing, 2s per week. Loed Nelson is a dark bay, stands 16 hands high, with immense bone, and is vory active, four years old, and is got by the pure Clydesdale " Champion," and out of a first-class mare bred by James D,l worth, Esq. " Champion" took three first piizes at the Auckland Agricultural Society's Show in succession, and is by the grand horse "Lofty," importer!. " Lofty" never was beaten in any Show in New Zealand. " Lord Nelson" won the second piize at the Auckland Agricultural Society's Show as a yearling, and also second prize as a two-year old. Terms : £2 5s each mare.
