WtLLiNGTOX, Last Night. Mr Bryce's appointment as JSiative and Defence Minister is gazetted. Sixty Aimed Constabulary left for the fiont in the Hineinod this evening. Mr Butler, secietary to the NViti\e Minister, was a passenger by the same steamer. He goes to Parihaka to distribute the piocfaination. There is no fresh intelligence from the West Coast. There was a long meeting of the Executive Council to-day and after that a Cabinet meeting, but nothing has tiunspned of an authoritative character. It is believed that the action of the Government was again adversely canvassed in the Executive Council by the Governor. Mr Bryce has arrived at W.inganui, and will go to Opuuake to-morrow.
Ditnedix, Last Night. The services of 21 men have been accepted here to join the Armed Constabulary. Others join to-day.
