WESLEY AN HOME MISSION ANNIVERSARY.

TnE annual sermons in connection with the home mission work of- the Wesleyan Church, were preached in the Te Vwamutu church on, Sunday by Mr J. B. Ellman in the morning, ' and ' the Rev. George Bond in the evening. There were good congregations, the evening one being especially largo.' Otk-Mpnday night the annual public meeting was held, the chair being ocoupied hy Mr . N. T. Maunder, who delivered an .appropriate address on the work of' t hom,e missions. Speeches in furtherance 'of objects of the meeting were delivered by Rev; C. Griffin, Mr J. B. Ellman, Rev. H. "Bull, and G. Bond. The collections amounted to JE4 4s Id. A petition was presented on behalf of the congregation by Messrs. Bridgman and Ellman for the supply of legular "morning and evening service every Sunday. This request was acceded to, andphe necessary arrangements made for carrying 1 it out, oommencing fromjnext Sabbath. Mr. Ren.dell presided at the harmonium during the evening. On the motion of JVTt A. Smith, fceconded by Mr J. W. Bridgman, the hearty thanks of the meeting were accorded to the Rev. G. Bond for hih able and eloquent sermon and addre^s'delivered in his capacity as deputation of the Conference. Mr Bond wuitably leplied, and on the motion of Rev. H. Bull, a cordial vote of thanks was passed to the chairman for his services as president of the meeting that night. After singing the doxolgy,the Benediction was prondunced.
