Railway Charges. Great complaints are made of the burden of the railway charges for the carriage of all descriptions of goods from Auckland to these parts. In some cases it amounts to as much as the freight from England to Auckland. The charge for bonebust, for instance, just at present when the use of it- is indispensibie, is a severe addition to the expenses of the farmer. For ( a quantity not less than four tons the charge is 17« 4d. per ton, ( while, for, a single ton it is 255.
