It is reported at Waitara that the Tui is likely to be a wreck." She is leaking, and it is said if not got off to-night will be abandoned. ' ' Condition of the Natives. ' ' \■> Native Disturbances. The, natives w;ho went , down from Parihaka on Saturday, trespassed upon the land recently purchased at Ngakumikumu by Burgees. They entered a stockyard which Was newly built, and pulled it down. After prowling about for some time, they decamped. It is expected that the Constabulary will take some action 5n the matter. Death from a 1 Kick from a Horse. Nelson, Last Night. . A young man named Krus, a resident of Hape, received a kick on the head from, a horse a few days ago, and was brought to the Hospital. His injuries proved fatal.

Alfred Beakesly, the manager of the Bunny Station, Taranaki West, formerly of Brogclen anfl Co., was drowned on Saturday laßt while crossing the Waingaroa River in company with Henry Rossiter. Deceased was out rabbithunting on the island in the river, and when late Rossiter suggested going down to the bridge, but deceased, decided to cross, and was svvept > away. Rossiter had a narrow escape, as he was' carrying the swag. The body has not yet been 1 found, and the river is very high. Mysterious Disappearance. iNVEftrABGiLt, Last .Night. A man named Edward Brown, aged 62, working near the New River Ferry, disappeared on the 29th ultimo, and has not since been seen. A. search party was made, but *n'o f trace of the man ,was found. It is believed that he has fallen into the river. " . An Hotel Burned to the Ground. Mrs Muirs Edendale Hotel was burned down on Snnday morning 1 . The Insurances are £600 on the building-, and £100 on the stock and furniture in the Norwich Union.
