KIHIKIHI. The Public Hall.

I The new public hall for Kihikihi, tendeis for which are invited by advertisement, will be a handsome building 1 , and a considerable addition to the appearance and enjoyability of the town. Mr Anderson, the esteemed proprietor of the Kihikihi Hotel, has given the ground on which it is to stand, and Mr Archibald Miller, the architect and builder of the church now approaching completion, has drawn up the plans and specifications. The dimensions are to ,be 70 feet by 28, the body of the hall being 52 feet in length, with two ticket rooms in front and two dressing rooms for ladies and genllemen at the further end. The estimated cost will be from £260 to £280, and three Months from the 15th inst. will be the time allowed for completion. This piece of work and the fine church are sufficient to show that Kihikihi is not at, a standout, and as an additional p'rdo'f that Wftipa towns are actively progressing, I may mention that one acre of Kihikihi town allotments has been sold for £110 that could have been bought at the rate of £30 only a year ago. — (Correspondent, September 7th.)
