CONCERT AT NGARUA WAHIA.
A coxckrt in aid of the funds of the Presbyterian Church, Ngaruawahia, came off in the school-room there on Friday night last. There was a fair attendance. The chair was taken by the Rev. D. Fulton, of Hamilton, who, in his opening remaiks, expressed ])is regret that his connection with the Church at Ngaruawahia had so .soon terminated. The programme was then gone through with much credit to all who took part in it, which was testified by the hearty applause which followed each piece. The features of the evening were the oveitures. played with much taste and skill by Mr Quinton ; the violin solos ably executed by Mr White ; the tasteful singing of Mrs Gard ; the duet by Mrs Gard and Mr Chappell ; and the refined comicalities of Mr Turner, who lias an undoubted talent in this direction. The other pieces on the piogramme were also well rendered and well received, and altogether the concert was a very good and enjoyable one. Mi'-s M. Hammond ; duet, " Pulaski'fi Banner," Mrs Gard and Mr Chappell ; song, " Union Jack of Old England," Mr Wallace : glee, " See the Moonlight Beam (Lucre/ia Borgia)," Choir; National Anthem, entire company.
