NEWCASTLE HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
NOTICE.
nHHE Newcastle District Board purpose JL meeting on MONDAY, sth September, at Mr Kellow's Hotel, Whatawhata, for the purpose of making a Rate of One Shilling in the £ on the rateable value of all property in the above district for the year ending March 31, 1882 ; said rate to become payable in one sum on Monday, September 19th, 1881, to James Wells, Collector for tho District, at Mr Bailey's Store, Whatawhata, where the Rate Book is now open for inspection. qiAKE NOTICE, the Tamahere HighX way District Board propose to stop the undermentioned roads, and with consent of owners take land for roads in lieu thereof. Plans and accurate descriptions may be inspected by ratepayers at the residence of the undersigned, for twelve consecutive weeks from the date hereof. Roads to be Closed. 1. A portion of a road containing 1 acre, 1 peroh; bounded northwesterly by Lot 44, Parish of Tumahere, the property of J. A. Tinne, Esq., 2. Portions of the road containing in all 3 acres, 1 rood 18 perches ; bounded on the west by Lots 67 and 68 ; and on the east by Lot 68 Parish of Tamahere, the property of E. J. Tinne, Esq. 3. A road containing 7 acres, 3 roods 37 perches; running through Lots 20, 21, 22, 23, Parish of Tamahere, the property of S. Ormerod, Esq. 4. A road containing in all 10 acres, 1 rood, 5 perches ; running through Lots 22, 23, 25, 26, the property of Messrs. S. Ormerod H. Albright, and a Government reserve. F. Hunt. A road containing 2 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or leas, running North-easterly through the Northern portion of Lot 131, Parish of Te Rapa, the property of Mr W. F. Hunt. A ]]road containing 2 acres and 22 perches, more or less ; bounded on the North-east by Lot 127, Parish of Te Rapa, a Government Reserve, and on tho Southwest by Lot 121, Parish of Te Rapa, the property of Mr A. To Contractors.
TENDERS will be received by the Kirikiriroa Highway Board up to noon of Wednesday, the 7th of September, for the cutting of a large dram on the Tauhei road, about 45 chains in length. Mr Henry Reynolds will meet intending contractors at Woodlands station at 11 a. in. on Thursday, the Ist September, for the purpose of showing the ground. JAS.
