Thames Gas Company. Auckland, Last Night.

At the annual meeting of the Thames Gas Company, it was announced that they could only pay the usual dividend of eighteenpence by trenching on last year's balance. The Chairman hoped the Thames kad reached its lowest ebb. The Domain Gardens. The Domain Board have resolved to appeal to the Acchmitisation Society to postpone the sale of the gardens, but the Council at a meeting declined. Crown Land SaleAt the Crown land sale to-day, there was a large attendance. Three allotments in the town of Taupo were purchased by Mr Noble for £15, £10, and £22 respectively. Three other sections of ten acres each in the suburbs of Te Aroha were bought by Mr Hill. The first brought £3S ami the others £30. Fifty-four allotments in the suburbs of Newcastle South, parish of Komakorau, were sold, some of them being above the upset price. They were nearly all bought by Ngaruawahia people.
