PARLIAMENTARY. [BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH, PRESS ASSOCIATION.] LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Wellington, Last Night. The Council met cat 2.30. New Bills. A Bill to provide for the settlement of the thermal springs districts of the colony was brought in by Mr Whitaker, and read a first tme. An Imprest Supply Bill was passed through all stages. The Otago University Reserves Vesting Bill was recommitted and further amended. On the motion for the second reading of the Kakanui Harbour Bill it was thrown out by 14 to 9.
