Stealing Money from Letters. Napier, Last Night.

Fred Day Rendle, a letter carrier attached to the Napier Post-office, was arrested last night charged with tampering with letters. For some time past moneys sent by post have not reached their destination, a trap was laid for the thief, and Rendle was discovered in his room, where there were several letters found. Eendle is a young man of superior education. He came to the colony about seven years ago as midshipman in an emigrant ship, and ran away. He was brought before the Court and remanded, Death of Captain McLean. Captain McLean, brother of Sir Donald McLean, died yesterday.
