Mr Hall said during the absence of the Governor attending to his duties as High Commissioner an Acting Governor would be appointed. Education Act Amendment. The bill moved by Mr Fulton was read a first time by 41 to 36. The motion that the bill be read on Thursday was lost by 52 to 15, and the bill was then ordered to be read a second time that day six months. Representation Bill. The House went into committee on this bill. On clause 2, " That the House consist of 91 members," Mr Speight thought 54 members would be sufficient. Mr Bastings moved that " 60 " be substituted for "91." A loncj discussion ensued, members evidently coming prepared to make a night of it.
