Miscellaneous. Sir G. Grey gave notice of his intention to introduce a bill authorising anyone to practice law in Courts when duly authorised by any party to a suit. The Public Health Act Amendment Bill and the Education Reserves Act Amendment Bill were read a first time. Dr Wallis moved the second reading of the Annual Parliamentary Bill. The motion was rejected by 41 to 8. The Protection to Crops Bill was read a secoud time. The House went in Committee on the Oaths Bill, which passed with amendments, read a third time and passed. The Kakanui Harbor Board Borrowing Bill passed through Committee, was read a third time and passed. Consideration of the Drainage Bill was deferred for a week. The 1 House went into Committee on the Pensions Bill, which was reported with amendments, read * third time and passed. , , , !
