PROPOSED PUBLIC & VOLUNTEER HAIL, HAMILTON WEST.
A meeting of the Trustees was held on Saturday afternoon, for 'the purpose of opening tenders for the erection of the new hall. There were present, His Worship the Mayor (Chairman), Messrs James Hume, W. M. Hay, 0. X,. Johnson, and S. Steele. The following tenders were opened : —
The tender of Mr Elliott was accepted, the contract to be completed by the 30th November. Ifc'waa resolved that the hall be erected 10ft from the B.W. boundary of lot 407, and 18ft back from Knox 1 street. •It was j further resolved that a competent person be appointed to superintend the erection of the hall, and that the Mayor and Mr Hay sign the contract on behalf of the » Trustees. This was all the business.
