A mM'.ting of the Chili was held at Hewitt's Cutenon Hotel on Saturday last at 1 p.m. Dr. Waddmgton occupied the chair. There weie also present Messrs Kirkwood, Fisher, Scott, Allwell, and Hewitt — The minutes of the pre- \ ions meeting were read and confirmed. — In accordance with Mi Kukwood's notice of motion at the last meeting >r amalgamation with Auckland Club, the motion was brought fonvj-id, and it was lesolvcd that the Club do not amalgamate with the Auckland Club. — In accordance with Mr Scott's notice of motion at last meeting re close season during a portion of the year, the motion was bi ought forward, when it was resolved that the Club .should recognise a close season dm ing the months of December, Januaiy, and Februaiy. — The following gentlemen were proposed, seconded, and unanimously elected members of the Club :— Me&.sife John Once, Rotorangi ; Win, Cussen, Hamilton ; J. A. Douglas, Tamahere ; Audus Raynes, and F. A. Whitaker, M.H.R.— It was resolved that a m\ eepstake of two guineas be urn for on Fnday, the 23rd September, the winner to leceive 60 per cent, of the stakes, together with silver cup, value live guineas, from the funds of the Club; lunner up, 25 per cent, of stakes, and thud dog, lopei cent. — Resolved that Mr James Henderson be requested to act as judge, and Mr Chailes Hitchman as slipper. — The following gentlemen were appointed a committee of management — Messrs Kirkwood, Hewitt, and Hughes.— A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the pioceedings.
