Mr J. S. Blxki an»';> Report —At the Cambridge sale, on Saturday, 21 horses ot a useful stamp were entered. Many were bold .it lair values. Strong plough horses and medium draught horses brought L 23 to L 25 , useful hacks, L 9 10s to Ll2 ; a \vell-bri_d mart*, LlB. At Obaupo live htock sale, on Tuesday last, .1 smaller number than usual was brought forward, no head only being j.irdcd, ot which 97 were sold at the auction. Prices were slightly advanced over the last quotations. '1 lie 40 calves ad\ ertised as bred by Mr D. Maelaren brought from L 2 10s to hi 15s ; small dairy cows and heifers, LO to L 6 15s; young empty cosvs, L 4 to L 5 ; twenty months to two-year-old steers, L 4 10s to L 5 ; fat steers, L 7 7s 6u to L 7 15s ; prime fat cows, L 7 to L8 2s 6d each, bheep : 120 were brought forward and sold. Longwoolled ew<- hoggetts brought 13s ; fat wethers, 15s 6d to iCs each and 130 merino ewes were sold privately at Os each. At the Cambridge yards on Tuesday last, a very limited numof cattle were yarded, and (ompetition was dull. Small iat stceis brought L 6 10s to L 7 10s; and well-bred joung heifers, L 4 each ; 120 fat wethers were penned, and 60 sold at 16s 6d and 17s 6d each, and a medium draught mare, Ll5 10s. A pair ot medium draught plough mares were sold privately for L} 7. roo merino wethers changed hands at gs, and 100 half-bred wethers, 1 is 6d each. Messrs W. J. Hi'VTi'ii k\n Co.'s Report. —At the Ohaupo yards on Thursday. August 4th, a fair muster of cattle were yarded, principally young stock of good quality. Dairy cows were well represented; 'although none very choice, they met with good enquiry. Fat cattle were not in demand, but all sold with few exceptions. Some choice calves reflected credit to their breeder, Mr Kripner, Te Rore, being only from eight to nine months old, and sold from L 2 14s to L 2 16s each. A full market of sheep, principally ewes at lambing, met ready sale. 141 cattle out of 152 sold, and 355 sheep, all penned, were disposed of, besides horses, pigs, trees, etc. We quote :—: — Dairy cows, from L 6 to L8 2s 6d ; store cows, from L 3 2s 6d to L4 15s ; well-bred calves, L 2 14s to L 2 17s 6d ; calves and yearlings, from L 2 to L$ 2s 6d ; two-year-old steers, from Li 15s to L 4 10s ; fat, from L.4 10s to L 5 15s ; long-wool ewes, 15s 3d to 16s ; aged ewes, 12s each; merino ewes, 6s ; lat wethers, »5s 6d ; breeding sow, L} ; riding horse, L 6 10s ; macrocarpa trees, 3d each.
