Robbery of Old Silver. Wanganui, Last Night.
A box containing £100 in old called-up silver has beeu stolen irom the Stormbird. The box, which was consigned fiom the Bank of New Zealand here to the Bank in Melbourne, vi;i Wellington, was placed on board Siturday afternoon. It was taken charge of by the chief officer, who locked it in the cabin, and last evening it was found to be missing. Captain Dawson was not aware the box w.is on boaid till informed of the robbery of the silver. The silver, though old, is passable. There is no clue to the thief or the propeity.
