Young unbroken stock, L 5 16s to Ll7; active medium draught, Ll5 10s to L 33 10s ; light harness horses and hacks, L 6 10 to L2O. The hoise, buggy, and harness advertised brought L6l, and thethoroughbred Kelpie filly (full sister to Kenilworth), L3B. At the Haymarkel on Tuesday, hides, skins, and tallow were in full supply, and steady demand ; hides ranged from 3^ to j^d the lb. ; tallow, from 21s 6d to 24s 6d the cwt. : sheepskins, is gd to 4s jd each. At Papakura, on Wednesday, a moderate number of good cattle, principally quiet steers from two to three years old, in fresh condition, obtained a steady sale, as compared with the price of fat stock, extreme values. Dairy cows were dull of sale. At Remueia, on Thursday, cattle of all descriptions were jardedin less
than usual number. Dairy cowl maintained their price, and ftore cattle were better worth than last week. All well-bred young animals were in good enquiry, but particularly heifers. Fat cattle in unusually short supply, but, consequent on the glut of the past thiec weeks, but little improvement in price was obtained. As the sale proceeded, values rose ilightly, but cattle generally ranged between 2,] sands and 26s the loolbs., an occasional animal of choice quality obtaining a higher hgure. Fat sheep were in full average supply, but th" trade arc full of stock, and an ad\ance of about two shilling's per head was obtained for best quality. Good wethers ranged from jBs to 275. Fat hoggets, 13s to 15s each. Pigs wcie in moderate supply, and of good q« Wity. They were in better request than last week. Messrs. Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report.— Horses: There has been little improvement in the market. About an average number have been submitted by auction, principally local, which 'lo not excite speculative competition, consequently there has been no noteworthy alteration in values. Cattle : The supply has been short, and demand steady. Stores and dairy stock.*, were yarded in less than usual numbers at Newmarket on Tuesday, but there was a good muster at Waiuku on Wednesday. Dairy stock maintained their value, and for stores prices have been a shade in favour of the vendor. Although the supply of fat beasts has been limited, it was sufficient" for requirements^ snd_ there was a slightly upward tendency in price, but there was no change worthy of note in any description of stock. Sheep were moderately plentiful, but a much larger number could have been disposed of with advantage to the vendor, 2s 4d per Blbs. having been freely given. Pigs : bupply short, but no noteworthy advance in value.
