Ddnedin, Last Night. At a meeting of the Colonial Bank shareholders to-day, the report of the directors was adopted, recommending a 6 per cent, dividend. During the meeting the chairman, Mr Geo. McLean, stated that the amount of mortgages executed?! in the ""colony "under the land transfer alone during the last twenty months reached .the enormous »urn of £4,315,000 ; and of this, Otago and Southland represented £2,802,000.
