Annual Meeting of Ratepayers.
The animal wectmg of the latepayeis of the above district was held on Wednesday last at the iesici tt nee of Mr J. J. IWugh, W.irtle, Taniahere. About thirteen ratepayers were present, and the chair was occupied by Mr J. A. Douglas. Wood. A poll resulted m the return of the first five. Messrs B. Wood and H. Reynolds wefe elected auditors, and Messrs fc>. Seymour and J. Taylor, were elected fence-viewers. . Mr H. Reynolds, the chairman of the retiring Board, referred to the loss the district had sustained by the 4^ath of Mr 0 C. Wood, in a short, sympafcVW address, and Mr B. Wood thanked the meeting for their JfW»/ expressions pf regard.
