The Irish Land Bill. London, June 28.
The consideration of the Irish Land Bill, in Committee of the whole, was resumed in the House of Commons, and after a further debate, lasting through the whole sitting, the fourth clause of the measure was passed without amendment, and progress reported.
Mr Grant-Duff. It is announced officially that Mr Grant-Duff, Parliamentary Under-Secre-tary of State for the Colonies, h.is beeu appointed G-oYornor of Madras Presidency, vice Mr Adam, deceased.
