Fire at Cambridge. [BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH,OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
Cambridge, Last Night. The immunity from fire, for which Cambridge has been so remarkable, was somewhat disturbed by the cry of "fire" a few minutes before live this evening. Hally's Brewery was the scene ot the conflagration, which fortunately was not an extensive one. About five o'clock the alarm was given, and people made towards the spot from which the smoke was issuing, and before many minutes buckets of water were coming from all quarters, people rivalling each other in rendering assistance. Fortunately the fire was not permitted to spread, and before six o'clock all danger was over. The fire originated in the kiln-house, which was full of grain at the time, and before it was mastered had succeeded in penetrating the roof. The damage is estimated at about £200 to £300, whicn is covered by insurance.
