Fenian Outrage in Liverpool. London, June 10.
News has been receiver!, from Liverpool of <i dastardly attempb to destroy the Town Il.xK in that city. An explosion occurred List niirht in the building, and cdu&cd pome destruction in its neighbourhood, but the evident attempt to blow up the hall was unsuccessful. It is supposed that dynamite was tho explosive material u^ed, and it is believed th-ifc it was laid by Fenians. The polioe h ive alteady arrested two armed AmeiiCcin-Itishmen on suspicion of being concerned in the outrage.
London, June 11. Telegrams are to hand from New York lepoiting that, at an interview held with o 'Donovan Rossa, he denied that the Fenians were guilty of complicity in the recent attempt to blow up the Liverpool Town Hall, but it is stated that he was aware that in December last explosives v.ere placed in the hold of H.M.S. Doteril, which was destroyed by an explosion in the Straits of Magellan on. April 26.
