I , The { High Schodls Reserves. - Mr'Whitaker gave notice of motion for a return showing what real property has been dealt with under Section 8 of the High Schools Reserves Act ; the nature of such dealing'; the Amount received by the Trustees for the property so dealt 1 with } and' the; mariner in which such - money has beeii applied ;' f aud'as to what mortgages have been given by the Trustees of the Reserves, or any security or profits., This, it will be remembered, was, a promise made by Mr Whicaker in his speech ftt Hamilton last Saturday. . The Appropriation Account.
Appropriation Account for the financial year ending March' shows'a total expenditure of £1,981,450. The sum voted was £2,828,589; of that amount, £67,447, out of a vote of £131,000, wad expended on the Helensville and To Awamutu line. Hamilton-Te Aroha, £46,296 ; total vote, £69,000. Of the £75,000 vote for unemployed, nothing was expended. On the North Island road £42,217 Was expended out of a ,total vote of ,£59,500 ; on land purchase in the North Island, £55,395, out of a total vote of £122.147.

A return has been tabled showing the position of the following counties :—: — Piako : Value of rateable property, £31,314; revenue last year, £2772; expended on public works, £3661 ; other expenditure, £389 ; population, 412. Wai pa : Rateable property, £44,079 ; revenue, £5754 ; public works expenditure, £6074 ; other expenditure, £70S ; population, 2364. Waikato : Rateable property, £36,730 ; revenue, £4542 ; public works expenditure, £3870 ; other expenditure, £1073 ; population, 1575. Raglan : Rateable property, £3724 ; revenue, £628 ; public works expendi- ' ture, £1350; other expenditure, £89; population, 476. • >
