Mysterious Death by Drowning. [BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Last Night
Captain Sea-ukr, of the s,s. Wakatu, which arrived from Watiganui this afternoon, reports that a saloon passenger named Miss Amy Cochrane was lost overboaid List mght. She left the bridge at 11.30 p.m., a& the Captain thought to go to the ladies' cabin. When the steward went to call her this morning she was missing. A telegram received f loin the Inspector of Police, Wangamu states tint her body was picked up in the nver at noon to-day. It is not known how she got into the water.
