Auckland, Last Night. Db Campbell is expected back by the mail steamer. J'he North Auckland Cattle District having been proclaimed clean, the Board subsides into a state of somnolence ; the official occupation of members being for the nonce gone. The inspector, however, will continue on the alert.
WelijiWTOx, Last Night. The Premier left for the South this afternoon. He will address his constituents next week, and probably returns to Wellington on the 29th. In the Appeal Court judgment in the case of M.itlaud v. Pntchard was given for defendant.
Dttnkdiv, Last Night. Amongst other sales of town property, the Daily Tinut Company sold their premises near the railway station for £11,500 to the Union Shipping Company, T)uncriin. The Industrial Exhibition will not open on June Ist, as anticipated, owing to the non-arrival of Melbourne exhibits.
