The Easter Holidays.

The Review. *The chief attraction far --the people of> Waikato during the Easter "holidays is naturally the Volunteer Encampment and Review at Te Awamutu. The presence of so many Volunteers, and the excellent arrangements which h&ve been made in order that the public shall secure the fullest share of enjoyment, will draw to Te J Awamutu on Easter Monday residents from all parts of the district, and if the weather only prove fine a delightful day's oating may be looked forward to. The Thames Volunteers arrived last night at Te Awamutu, and at once took up the quarters provided for them in White's paddock. To-day the Cavalry and the Thatneß Volunteers will parade for inspection at 2 p.m., after which the afternoon will be devoted to horse racing and foot sports, a very good programme having been drawn up by the Cavalry officers. In the evening the men may be expected to amuse themselves at the Kihikihi Church Bazaar, and while they enjoy themselves, contribute in some degree to the excellent object for which the Bazaar is held. On Sunday there will be an open air church parade at 11 o'clock. Father Luck will hold the service for the Roman Catholic portion of the foice, for which purpose he has taken up with him, the beautiful portable alter which he brought out from England. In the evening the Auckland portion of the force, will , arrive by special train, and take up their quarters. On Monday the grand review will take place. No definite programme has yet been arranged but it is understood that its main features will be similiar to that published in this paper some days ago. The troops will parade for review in White's paddock ani the sham fight will take place in the paddocks belonging to Capt. Rutherford, the point of •attack being the homestead.
