DESTRUCTIVE FIRE. [ BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ASHBURTON, Last Night.

The house and property of Mr Walter Lawrie, Seafield, was totally destroyed by fire yesterday. Mr and Mrs Lawrie were at Springston, and the rest of the family at Christchurch. Nothing was saved, and f 100 in notes destroyed. The insurance is in the London and Lancashire—the house for £200, and the furniture for £100. The store adjoining was with difficulty saved.
