At the TL.ll, Court to-day, William Michael Downs, charged with illegally removing stamps from certain papers, was remanded until Friday, for the purpose of bringing up an important witness from Chnstchurch. Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting 1 of the Provisional directors in the Wellington-Manawatu Railway this morning, it was resolved that the question of the terminus be left open until the eleotion of permanent directors. It was also mentioned that £30,000 had already been subscribed. Mepsrs. Shannon and Nathan were added to the Executive Committee,
