In the House of Commons to-day th| mjotion in favour of the retention of the British force in Kandahar was again under discussion, and was finally rejected byi a majority of 120. In the course of wie debate this evening, Jhe Marquis of Hartirigton stated in his speech that & rupture ;of diplomatic relations between England and Russia would result if the Government of the latter country interfered with affairs in Afghanistan.
