At the meeting of officers commanding Troops of the Waikato Cavalry, held on Saturday, there were present, Major Jackson, commanding the Regiment, (in the chaiv),i'aptain Rnnciman, (Cambridge Troop), Captain Rutherford, Te Awamutu • roop), Lieutenant Johnson, (Hamilton Troop). The previous resolutions having been read together with a telegram from tho Hon, F. Whitaker announcing that Government would supply 50 tents, some cooking utensils, and free railway passes for visiting Volunteers, it was resolved that the Chairman communicate with the different commandants in the Auckland Province, informing them that the ( avalry will provide tents, with straw for bedding, cooking utensils, firewood, potatoes, milk and good water, and tiausport from railway station to camp, free. Visitors to pro-, vide blankets, knives and forks, pannikins, rations of meat, bread and groceries to be provided by tender. It was also re olved that the Chairman write to the officer commanding Thames Volunteers, asking what day they will arrive, how long they can remain, and their probable number, and to write to Major Withers inviting all Volunteer Corps under his command to take part m the review, and request him to furnish names and address of officeis commanding Corps and to inform commanders that the camp will be situated within half-mile from railway station on the banks of a running stream of [food water, .suitable for bathing. After some other business of a routine ndbtire hdd been transacted the meeting separated, -with a vote of thanks to the eh 11 r.
