In one case, the goods had to becaited to Te Awamutu the next day. The steamer's übiidl way is to leave early next morning. We have been getting some tplendid harvest weather, but it is very hot for out-of-door work. Mr James Sherret, the collector of the Highway Boaid, has been appointed Registrar of Dogs for the Pirongia District. Your late leader on the bridge question woke some of them up about here. It was a clincher. Anyone who could not understand that could not see a hole through a ladder. Fortunately, for the sake of truth, one ot your own staff was present at the meeting.
