THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT TO CAMBRIDGE.

We have been requested to publish the following correspondence :—: — To Captain Runciman, Cambridge Cavalry Volunteers. Dear Sir, — Might I suggest that it would be advisable, seeing Hl3 Excellency the Governor makes his fii&t visit to Cambndgc on Fnday, for a detachment of the Cambridge Cavalry Volunteers to escort him from, say Mrs Oenan's corner to the Township, where it is proposed to present him with an adthess. I oljseive a detachment from the Hamilton dorps is going to perform a similar duty at Hamilton. If you think of this, you might arrange with Lieut. I^irkwood) ?c the desirability of the Cambridge Cavahy Volunteers escorting His Excellency the Governor into Cambridge on Friday.
