Execution of Tuhi. [BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.] (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
Wellington, Last Night. Tuhi was executed this morning. He was attended by Archdeacon Stock and the native clergyman; his demeanour was that of a man who bad strong nerves for death, he never winced, but his face exhibited much pallor and a careworn expression. After the cap had been placed on Tuhi he manifested a desire to speak, and partly dragged the cap off, but was too late. The cap was refixed, and the bolt being drawn, he died without a struggle. He left a written paper, supposed to be his confession. As stated, Captain Kncllys took the letter from the Governor to Te Whiti, written with the approval of Ministers.
