London Market Report. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have receired the fol- :—: —
lowing London, December 11. Wool. —The sales closed at the level of last sales on the 11th instant. For scoured, the market remains unchanged. Superior scoured has advanced £d to Id per lb. For greasy, market unchanged. For clothing washed, combing washed, and fine crossbred, the market is firmer. Coarse crossbred has declined Id to Ud per lb. Merino lambs is firmer. A good many second-hand parcels have been offered during the sales. The sales comErised about 114,000 bales—l6,ooo bales aye been held over for future disposal, chiefly Cape of Good Hope, and 50,000 bales have been taken for export. Tallow. —There is a fair trade demand. Mutton is worth 355, and beef 33s per cwt. Yesterday's public sales of Australasian comprised about 3000 casks. Stocks of all sorts are 14,000 casks. Exchange. —The Bank of England rate is 3 per cent.
