London Wool Market. London, December 9.
At the wool sales, to-day, 4100 bales were offered. There was more inquiry, but the demand was principally speculative. 10.000 bales have been withdrawn from sale since the opening of the auction. December 10.
At the wool sales to Jay, 5,600 bales were offered, making a total of 102,200 bales catalogued since the opening. The tone of the sale was linn. December 11.
The wool auction closed to-day, 11,900 bales being offered, making a total of 1 14, 100 catalogued since the opening. The tone of the sale showed a better demand for moafc descriptions. There was a good attend mcc of home buyers ; but the number of foreign buyers was small. There was a fair competition for inferior to common qualities; crossbreds, Idto2d per lb. lower than last sales.
