The total reserve in notes and bullion in the B ink of England is £14,000,000. The bank rate of discount has been raided to 3 per cent. The market rate remains at 2 pi'i* cent. New Zealand 5 per cent. 1889 loan is 107 ; 5 per cent. 10-40 loan is 103.
